I see why some viewers may be annoyed by the bickering characters, but I actually found it to be realistic and engaging for the audience! This movie had me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was watching it and I even found myself crying at the end! I made an account on IMDb just to warn people about how terrible this movie is. (This part has nothing to do with the movie. He brings up an ex wife. The premise of this movie is a truly great one, and if done well, it could make for one hell of a FF flick. Sam finds the house where the car is and calls the police. Look at the last names. The stupid male lead SML character is another idiot for KNOWING that what they were doing was stupid, but continuing to do it simply because the SFL nagged him to. The characters made a few bad decisions, but there would not be an interesting movie if they had not made those bad decisions- it would have been over after 30 minutes! Officers are on their way & Nate speeds far over the speed limit to catch up with the kidnapper.
The cops do none of that in this movie. Once they are back on the road, the microphone picks up Michael speaking to the girl, later revealed to be Brooke Layton, and threatening to kill her real parents. Then, Sam and Nate start to bicker because Nate is still convinced he is a guy in a custody battle. The police show up, & pull over Nate.
They listen to the dialogue from his car, they are picking up from the Mic. She debates that he might have kidnapped a girl, Nate argues that it's probably just a custody battle. Or what would Nate do if it was Sam or Caleb in that same situation. Halloween isn't even here yet, but the first holiday horror movie of the year is. Michael shoots and kills Sam. The man mentions "Sandhill", & reads out his phone number which Sam notes. | Rating: D She was super annoying and how could anyone be best friends with that annoying, screaming wretch. After constant looking they pull into a restaurant.

The devil is in the details, and despite a realistic premise, a fair share of unpaved roads and potholes understandably prevents the movie from being a universal crowd pleaser. Which is a shame because when it is not continually repeating the same character complaints of “I’m hungry” or shouting demands of “follow that car,” the dialogue is believably organic.
