Making a reaction between potassium chlorate and candy would be more interesting than watching the chemistry between Clara and that handsome-but-plain cook. They're cheesy yet lovely and always have a happy ending. Fox can act, but as my husband put it, seemed so out of place in the movie. Horrible acting, and horrible script.
