In Sydney, Jerrems exhibits and workshops at the ACP started to build a portfolio and a name for gritty and hard edged photography and film. She is the co-author of a Thames & Hudson monograph on Chinese/Australian painter, Guan Wei, with Hou Hanru. Australian Book Review acknowledges the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners of the land on which it is situated in Southbank, Victoria, and pays respect to the Elders, past and present. The haunting quality of her work is heightened by the tragedy of her early death, at the age of 30, in 1980. The National Gallery holds an extensive archive of Jerrems photographs and film work gifted by the artist’s mother Joy Jerrems in 1983. Jerrems’s most famous image – Vale Street (1975) – is held by Juliet Bacskai.

While her career was short, she lived and accomplished more in those 7 years than many do in a lifetime.
