My husband and I rented kayaks on the 4th. Just enough fast water to make it interesting but not scary. there were great places along the way to stop and even a rope swing at one spot. I know my wife enjoyed it and said she wished she had made us a picnic lunch.

No matter how you decide to float, you are guaranteed a great time with friends or family or even a large church group when you rent a kyack and actually eperience what I am trying to express through a review because ther is no way to describe the incredible journey "floating the creek" as we call it in the metropolis of Piedmont Alabama. It's such a nice mix of rapids (not too bad) and some nice calm spots where you can sit back and enjoy the beauty! you push, you could get from Redneck to Ellisville bridge in around 3 hours, but the best way to experience it is to just lay back, let the current take you and enjoy everything on the trip like cranes, ospray, turtles and all the beauty that comes from floating a 4 or 5 mile trip down the lazy Terrapin Creek in northeast Alabama.
