While superconducting logic families have the long-term potential of transforming high performance computing such as data centers, in the near term, the greatest impact is likely to be on quantum computers where the low energy dissipation (relative to transistorized logic) will enable in cryostat control of quantum computers. His areas of research specialization are quantum optics and quantum measurement.
